Latest ceramics projects from Kris

Kris Vagner here: My background is in photography but lately I've been excited about making hand-built ceramic cups and plates formed on molds that I take from everyday objects with interesting textures, like bubble wrap, waffle irons, and throwaway plastic food containers. Here are a couple samples. Top: a sushi container, a plaster mold, and a yet-to-be-glazed plate made from the mold. Bottom: waffle cups, made from slabs of clay rolled into a rubber mold of a waffle iron. (The 3 on the left are wood-fired. The one on the right is raku'd.)
